Deep plough, The Landlife Centre, Liverpool

The Bovlund Plough is designed to plough the soil far deeper than is usual. Manufactured in Denmark, the plough can operate at depth of 80c or 90cm. This allows species-rich meadows to be created on land that would otherwise be too eutrophicated (nutrient rich). The subsoil is brought to the surface and the topsoil buried. It needs a very powerful tractor.
