Beachy Head Lighthouse, East Sussex.

The first lighthouse at Beachy Head was built in 1828 and was situated on the top of the cliff. It was superseeded in 1902 by the present building which was constucted from 3,660 tonnes of Cornish Granite. The lighthouse was electrified in 1920 and automated in 1983. The beam is visible for 20 sea miles.
